For this project, I've decided to organize a series of interviews in the form of triangular conversations during live model drawing sessions, involving the model, the artist, and the audience.
For the first version of this project, presented as part of the "Movement 1" exhibition at the "Système D" space in Paris Malakoff, I invited a visual artist (Sharon Alfassi) and a writer (Aïna Rahery) to discuss their practice and their role as models in this installation.
In this proposal, the practice of live model drawing workshops as a laboratory gradually evolved into a playground, where the classic separations between format and medium blur. The aim is to break away from the academic model of this format: the model speaks, and so does the audience. Here, I aim to capitalize on an open and transversal artistic practice (as it is three-dimensional), allowing the audience to participate directly, either through drawing, speaking, or simply being present, akin to relational aesthetics in art.
This is a sensitive strategy that plays with the circumstances of work and creation at various levels. In this open installation, collective exercise and the study of the subject transform the value of work itself, converting these elements into poetic energy.
